Hi,

Before I started my career behind the camera, I used to be a professional actor. My father was a career theatre director and a professor of acting and directing at a university in New England, so I literally grew up playing in green-rooms and on stages. I pursued acting as a career throughout my 20s’ and 30’s, earning my master's degree, and worked for years in New York acting in plays and in commercials. Being an actor took me everywhere from a Broadway tour in Asia to playing the Genie in Aladdin for Disney, and I loved every second of it. But of course, in 2020, the pandemic put a grinding halt to that industry. Like so many I used my time during the pandemic to reflect, and learned that my real love is working with actors, producers, designers, and crew members to align the stars, and create a complete story from start to finish.

I shifted gears away from performance, and built a career as a 1st Assistant Director and Producer. I discovered that I love the logistical and financial problem-solving of filmmaking just as much as the creative. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of running the floor and managing productions on everything from scrappy industrials to multi-million-dollar brand campaigns, including award-winning national commercials and even an Oscar-winning feature film.

I started H5 Films to offer Boston agencies a production partner where you never have to compromise. There’s a reason it’s called a play—I truly believe that cultivating a sense of play on set and keeping the atmosphere relaxed but deeply focused is paramount to a project's success. When we work together, you get the nuanced, performance-driven eye of a veteran actor combined with the rigorous, budget-protecting discipline of an experienced AD and Producer. My goal is simple: to execute your vision, protect your margins, deliver a kick-a** product, and make sure everyone has a great time doing it.
